Yep, our lot cleaned up at the international Emmy awards for excellence in television, picking up a a big ol' handful of top awards at a gala ceremony in New York.

After picking up an award for his documentary on bipolar disorder, Stephen Fry said: "We're lucky to have this institution, the BBC, and that's helped generations of people."

The Brit stars will be bringing seven awards back across the pond with them from all telly areas, ranging from comedy, docu, drama, non-scripted entertainment and acting and TV movie or mini-series.

And the BBC's How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? won the best non-scripted entertainment award.
