Amy Walks Out On Katie?

In her eyes, Katie is an inspiration.

So it seems odd that the aspiring glamour model and star of The Only Way Is Essex wouldn't want to meet her idol.

But when Amy came within metres of Katie at her most recent book signing, she backed out at the last minute.

Katie was in Kent's Bluewater shopping centre to meet fans and sign copies of her new autobiography, You Only Live Once.

It just so happened Amy was there shopping with her family and when she heard her idol was in the building, she raced over to join the queue.

In fact, it seems Amy even contacted Katie to ask if she could skip the line, but when push came to shove, Amy didn't follow through with her plan.

After posing for photos in front of the inevitable pap presence, Amy left before picking up a cherished signed copy.

Katie Price Katie at her book signingAccording to the Mail Online, a spokesperson for Katie revealed: "Katie Price did not see Amy Childs today. Amy sent Katie a text asking if she could jump the large queue and get a signed copy of her book at her Bluewater signing.

"Katie was more than happy to help out Amy and responded saying she was sat in the manager's office having lunch and invited Amy to join her and pick up a copy of the book. She was looking forward to seeing Amy but got no reply."

We just can't fathom it. Turning down the chance of a celeb spot? You'd never catch a Sky Showbizer doing that.

Maybe she was embarrassed following reports that she has a crush on Katie's ex, Peter Andre?

Could it really be that Amy is all, erm, front?

We can't wait until the two come face to face. And while we're at it, we're still holding out for Chanelle Hayes and Victoria Beckham to sit down over a cuppa and chat about all the things they have in common. That could just be wishful thinking on our part though.
