Are we jealous of Kate Middleton for snagging the most eligible bachelor in the land? Of course. But we're even more jealous of her shiny locks and glowing complexion. And we think we know her secret. Kate has revealed that she is a big fan of Karin Herzog skincare products. In particular, she loves the Oxygen Face Cream (£35, www.shop.karinherzog.co.uk) which contains 2% oxygen to detox and fight bacteria. If it's good enough for Kate…

Kate Moss made herself even more popular on Friday by taking some time to hang out with fans in London. The supermodel visited Boots on Oxford Street to sign bottles of her latest perfume Vintage Muse as a special thank you for all her fans' support.

And her supporters showed up in force to catch a glimpse of the elusive supermodel. We bet the appearance didn't hurt pre-Christmas sales of the perfume either…
You can get your bottle from Boots for £29.

Rap's hottest property Nicki Minaj has been given one of the highest beauty honours: a collaboration with cult brand M·A·C cosmetics. The Trinidadian hip hop diva has designed her very own lipstick for the make-up brand to celebrate the release of her album Pink Friday. The limited edition lipstick (of the same name) is a creamy satin pink and will be on sale for four Fridays beginning this week. Check out this Friday's wish list for a glimpse of the special lippie.
Nicki says of the collaboration: "This shade is similar to the one I've worn for years by M·A·C but with a little extra ZING. I wanted a color that represented female empowerment as well as euphoria. The color makes you feel free to rule the world. Its sexy, yet fun. It pops." And the queen of quirky style reveals her ultimate beauty must-haves: "A Pink Wig, Pink Lips, lots of eye lashes, a great pump, and a pink push up bra!" Nicki launched the lipstick in New York last night - but you can get yours from www.maccosmetics.co.uk or www.selfridges.com.
In other news, yesterday we revealed the results of Olay's Big British Beauty Poll and tomorrow the beauty brand are taking to the internet to talk you through the results. Their big wavecast is happening at 4pm tomorow and you can tune in at: www.olaybigbritishbeautypoll.co.uk.

Solid Gold Polish
We thought we'd seen it all - but we were wrong. Models Own have finally found the perfect gift for the woman that has everything (and cash to burn). Their new Gold Rush nail polish costs a whopping £83,000 and when painted on to nails gives the appearance of gold leaf. The lid on the bottle itself is hand-crafted from solid gold with a total of 1,118 diamonds inset. If this seems a bit steep to you, you could always pick up their ready-to-wear version of the polish for a mere £5 (from 23rd February 2011). If you have a taste for the finer things in life, however, get yourself (and your life savings) down to Frost of London right now and order yourself the Couture version.
Top Of The Crops
The British Hairdressing Awards took place last night, with the cream of the crop (excuse the pun) turning out to be recognised for their talents. The biggest award of the year was scooped up by Angelo Seminara, Trevor Sorbie's International Creative Director, who was crowned Hairdresser of the Year. Angelo said on the night: "I am very surprised because I didn't think I would win again because of what I like doing - and that is experimenting." Other names to note were Darren Ambrose (Avant-Garde Hairdresser of the Year) and Sharon Peake (North Western Hairdresser of the Year) both finishing off a hat-trick of wins in their categories.
The Big British Beauty Poll
The results of Olay's Big British Beauty Poll have also been unveiled, with 20,000 women's views on all things beauty coming to a head. So what did the survey reveal? The celebrity voted to be the most iconic beauty of all time was Audrey Hepburn, with Marilyn Monroe and Angelina Jolie also making the top ten. When asked what the most important beauty attribute was, 50% of women asked said youthful skin. Most of you apparently spend £23 a month on beauty products while most people would pinpoint £30-£39.99 as the most they would spend on an anti-ageing product. Does this sound like you?
Great Lengths
If you've ever wondered what lengths a model will go to to score a gig walking the catwalk for Balenciaga, then read on. Model Britt Maren has spoken out about the drastic transformation she underwent to walk in the spring 2011 show. She said: “I had heard at Balenciaga they were probably going to do something to my hair, but there were just a lot of ideas being thrown around. I thought they were just going to give me lighter blonde highlights or shorter hair. They did it the day before the show, with five or six of us getting a dramatic change. I just remember the hairstylist went through ten bottles of bleach that day - my hair was bleached three times to get the right shade. I was white blonde as a baby, but it was such a shocking change. I was worried about showing pictures to my mom and boyfriend, but they both love it. It’s so easy now, I don’t have to do anything to my hair. Even just walking down the street, people stop me and say they like the haircut or colour.” Ten bottles of bleach? We think we're safer in the office.

Leighton Meester has been spilling secrets about her beauty regime. Cue a complete overhaul of our daily routine to coincide with the gorgeous Gossip Girl star's. As well as revealing that her beauty icon is her mum, she also talked us through her daily routine. She told You magazine: "I like La Roche-Posay cleanser followed by a spray of Evian, and that pretty much does the trick." In terms of keeping her locks luscious, Leighton said: "To condition my hair I use Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine Mask and Beautiful Ends Leave-In Cream. I am a big fan of conditioner - I have to be, as my hair is put through far more than the average girl's."
The best advice Leighton gives however, is her philosophy to being beautiful: "Love the way you look - the way your hair is naturally, the way your face looks without make-up. Once you feel comfortable with this you'll feel more comfortable with everything else." We couldn't have put it better ourselves.
Friday 19th November
Emma Watson might be best known for her role as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, but she's starting to shake off that image and make a name for herself in her own right. Thanks, in no small part, to the unique sense of style she's creating. And a defining point in her journey to style icon status came when Emma cut off all her hair to reveal a new pixie crop.
Emma's been speaking out about her inspiration behind the cut, ranging from film icons like Mia Farrow to her very own mother. She told WWD: "This has been her (my mother's) signature look since she was like 16. Yeah, she's a bit of a babe. So I've always been around women who have short hair. I think it's really sexy, having all your hair off your neck and your skin bare. I'm still getting used to it, but I feel like I have ownership over it. Because I kind of felt my hair was half me, half Hermione, and with this, I can obviously completely disassociate myself from that role."
So is there life after Harry Potter? For Emma, it's a definite yes.

Dior have announced that they're planning on upgrading their skincare ingredients. So from 2012 it's goodbye tap water and hello Icelandic Glacial Water. Huh? If you're feeling as confused as us about replacing one type of water for another, we'll let Claude Martinez, president and chief executive officer of
Parfums Christian Dior explain it for you: "For the first time, we have decided to take care of an inert ingredient present at strong concentration in cosmetic formulations - water - and we have decided to replace it by a cosmetic active ingredient, Icelandic Glacial water." Any clearer? The Glacial Water is apparently the first certified Carbon Neutral-certified bottled spring water, with the company using only natural green energy to fuel production of the water. So there you have it.
Meanwhile, award-winning hairdresser Mark Woolley has launched his own line of products. The founder of the Electric Hairdressing salon group says the products are perfect for bringing red carpet ready hair into the home on a daily basis. We can't wait to get our hands on them. The products are available now at www.electric-hair.com, with prices starting at £17.

Want to know the secret of being beautiful at any age? Just ask Cindy Crawford. The model has been speaking out to Ladies Home Journal about staying in shape at her age. She said: "I don't expect my body to look the way that it used to, because that would be deeply frustrating. I work out to feel good and get energised. Knowing how strong I am is grounding as I get into my forties."
Cindy also admitted that she doesn't look at Botox and plastic surgery in quite the same light as she used to. She said: "When I was 30, I might
have said, 'I'm just going to age in a way that honours time and is completely natural,' but I'm no longer so highbrow about it. Too much Botox scares me and plastic surgery is really scary, but as long as you don't use these things to change your face, I think it's okay."
So does this mean Cindy's been getting a helping hand to stay looking so fabulous? We'll leave that guessing game to you.
Meanwhile, if you're in the market for a bargain beauty buy, or looking to make an early start on your Christmas shopping this year, we've got just the thing for you. Boots' fantastic Front Cover To Go palette is a third off for a fortnight only - so pop down to your local Boots and grab yourself a bargain.

One of our favourite beauty brands Burt's Bees are running an auction with Alex Monroe to raise money for the British Beekeepers Association. The pair have joined forces to auction a specially commissioned one-off Honey Bee and Flower ring at www.alexmonroe.com to celebrate the launch of Burt's Bees Radiance SPF Day Lotion. Bidding is already underway and you have until 15th December to place your bid, so good luck.
Speaking of the project, designer Alex Monroe said: "I was delighted to be asked to collaborate with Burt's Bees to raise awareness of the plight of the bee, and we have made a great honey bee collection which is really unique. The British Beekeepers Association isn't a very well known charity, but they are fantastic, working nationally and in local communities, and were the natural choice for us to donate to."
For more information on either brand visit www.burtsbees.co.uk or www.alexmonroe.com.

Give your lips and fingers a retro glamour makeover this Christmas with Revlon's Fire & Ice collection. In 1952 the brand launched the line with an iconic ad featuring Dorian Leigh in a silver dress and striking red lips and nails. And now it's back, this time featuring Hollywood starlet Jessica Biel. The collection will also include three new pairings of Super Lustrous Lipsticks and Nail Enamels. So what do we think of the new ad? Jessica is absolutely flawless, don't you think?

Nivea have landed themselves in hot water with Britain's Advertising Standards Authority. An ad for Nivea Visage Anti-Wrinkle Q10 Plus has been banned on the grounds that it is misleading to viewers. The ad claims that the product 'helps reduce the appearance of lines and fine wrinkles', but this isn't the root of the problem. The controversy surrounds the statement that: '37 percent of women feel more attractive now than they did 10 years ago'. Viewers have apparently been confused as to whether the figure refers to users of the product or just women in general.
A statement from the ASA reads: "The ASA considered that the claim would be understood by consumers to mean that 37per cent of women interviewed felt more attractive because they used the advertised product… We considered that the ad presented the relationship between the advertised product and the survey results in a way that was ambiguous, and could be confusing for consumers, and we therefore concluded that the ad was misleading. The ad must not appear again in its current form." So there we have it.

From the look of the stunning new campaign by Lancome, purple is set to be the hue of the new season. We've got a sneak peek of French model Julia Restoin-Roitfeld's new campaign for the beauty brand. Shot by legendary photographer Mario Testino, Julia, daughter of French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, is absolutely flawless.

Come spring we'll be investing in that gorgeous nail colour. And the eye shadow. Oh, and some Hypnose mascara, obviously. In short, it's a hit.

Naomi Campbell's controversial court cases have been covered extensively this autumn, but before there was the issue involving uncut diamonds and a certain Libyan dictator, the supermodel was sued by perfume company Moodform in June for backing out of a deal to launch a fragrance twelve years ago called "Cat Deluxe with Kisses." If you're not immediately put off by the scent's name, perhaps, like us, you're impressed that Naomi joined the perfume bandwagon long before today's celebs caught the scent.
But then she back tracked, and now is facing charges from her former agent Carole White that she lied under oath so that she could get outo f the deal. Naomi has filed a countersuit against White, but this smells fishy to us.
Friday 5th November
The long-awaited first Jimmy Choo fragrance is on its way. The brand's co-founder Tamara Mellon OBE says: "Fragrance has always been part of my vision for Jimmy Choo. To fully extend the Jimmy Choo lifestyle, enveloping a woman with the sensuality and essence of the brand. I have always loved wearing perfume; it is part of my identity. Now to create a signature fragrance for Jimmy Choo expressing an aura of strength and beauty is my ultimate dream."
The fragrance will be modern, sweet and fruity, with notes of exotic Tiger Orchid and Toffee. And the bottle is as stylish as you'd expect from the accessories brand. We can't wait. Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum will preview at Harrods, Selfridges and selected Jimmy Choo boutiques from 13th January 2011 before going on sale nationwide on the 31st January. Prices start at £39 for 40ml.

It's that literally age-old problem - how do we tackle the signs of ageing? Alexa Chung, just 26, is already fretting about it. She told Stylist magazine: "Recently I've been getting paranoid about wrinkles. I haven't actually found any yet but every time I look in the mirror I search my forehead for the first signs."
Alexa also revealed her ultimate beauty icons, saying that she looks the looks of Julie Christie and Bridgitte Bardot. She said: "I love that short bob, big eyes, pale lips thing. It makes me want to crop my hair again." And while Alexa's known for her style icon status, she says that it isn't too important how you look. "Modelling taught me how important your brain and personality are to being happy. I was happier the minute I started doing TV work instead of modelling because I suddenly had an outlet for my opinions. I'd rather be told I was funny or clever than I looked nice."
