The former No doubt singer and now solo artist have been voted as the best dressed by style magazine Harpers & Queen.
A spokesperson for the mag said: "One of the main themes that emerged from this year's list is a nostalgia for the days when women really revelled in the art of dressing up and having fun.
"Gwen Stefani embodies this spirit perfectly because she manages to look polished and glamorous without compromising her professionalism or her carefree spirit."
Gwen, who is a muse to designer John Galliano and a big wearer of Vivienne Westwood, has ousted last year's winner, Kate Moss.
The supermodel has to settle for third place this year, with stripper and partner of Marilyn Manson, Dita Von Teese, taking the second spot.
Sienna Miller concretes her tag of fashion icon by coming in fourth - rising three places from last year.
