Jenny Frost, Denise Van Outen and Michelle Collins at Mt PleasantJenny Frost, Denise Van Outen and Michelle Collins at Mt PleasantAtomic Kitten Jenny Frost and actresses Denise Van Outen and Michelle Collins have come together to plead with the public to keep on donating to the tsunami relief appeal.

The three stars helped sort postal donations at the Mount Pleasant sorting office in London.

The Disasters Emergency Committee has announced a record-breaking £76m raised online and over the telephone.

The appeal is expected to top £100m, and the Royal Mail is handling half a million donations a day .

Former EastEnders star Michelle said the "masses and masses" of donations were "quite staggering".

"The public have been phenomenal," she said. "But we need more, more, more - £76m is just not enough for those countries to rebuild themselves and for people to rebuild their lives.

"This will be an ongoing thing - it is not just weeks or months."

Singer Jenny Frost said she had spent the past five years in Thailand for Christmas and New Year - and this was the first time in years she had not been in the region.

She added: "The aid is getting through to the people, but please, please don't stop giving."
