Amy WinehouseAmy at her recent gigIs Amy Winehouse back to her best?

That's what the singer claims in an interview with Glamour magazine.

She revealed that she's been drug-free for three years.

According to the troubled singer, she turned her back on her damaging lifestyle after a lightbulb moment: "I literally woke up one day and was like ‘I don’t want to do this any more.'"

And she hasn't looked back since: "I'm much healthier now.  I used to use drugs and I haven’t used drugs in almost three years. It's not a hard thing."

Photos taken at her latest outing in Camden, which was a charity gig for Nordoff Robbins Music therapy, seem to support the singer's claims, as she looked healthier than ever and gone was the slurring and smudged make-up of old.

Though a new album might not be the first thing on Amy's mind as she's spoken of a wish for children: "I'm of the age when you start thinking about it – not seriously – but you start thinking about having kids."

A turnaround, indeed.
