Things can't get much worse for Cheryl Cole.
She's been struck down with a horrible illness just weeks after splitting from husband Ashley Cole.
As a result, the singer has had to pull out of two major public appearances.
Cheryl's been diagnosed with a severe bout of bronchitis.
It suggests that her punishing workload, along with recent events in her personal life, have left her exhausted and prone to illness.
Yesterday she cancelled pre-recorded appearances on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross and Radio One's Live Lounge where she was set to promote her new single Parachutes.
Her spokesman said: "Cheryl Cole has been forced to cancel all promotional activity this week upon medical advice after contracting bronchitis."
