Rage Against The Machine are feeling the wrath of Cheryl Cole.
The X Factor judge is hitting out against a campaign for the American rock group to take the Christmas chart number one slot above X Factor winner Joe McElderry.
There's nothing like celebrity conflict to get us in the festive spirit, hey?
In a statement yesterday, Joe's mentor on the show, Cheryl, said: "I would be devastated to see Joe lose out to possibly the best thing that could happen to him in his life.
"Every aspiring pop star dreams of a number one record.
"It is a beautiful song. He put his heart and soul into every single week of The X Factor and I cannot bear to see him lose out to a mean campaign that has nothing to do with his efforts."
We can almost see her welling up. Again.
In a further attempt to ensure her act reaches the top of the festive charts, Cheryl appeals to our patriotic sensibilities: "If that song, or should I say campaign, by an American group is our Christmas number one, I'll be gutted for him and our charts."
Can the hairy four-piece really top the sway of the nation's sweetheart?
Take a look over the X Factor gang's time in the spotlight.
