Corey Feldman has spoken about the death of his best friend and co-star, Corey Haim.
Writing on his blog, Corey said: "I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door.
"They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face.
"I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and, of course, my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend.
"We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived."
Later, talking on CNN to Larry King, he said: "I was shocked, yes, I was shocked."
Baywatch star Nicole Eggert, and a former girlfriend of Corey (Haim), told Larry King she turned down a marriage proposal from The Lost Boys star.
She said: "He was fun, he was fun to be around, light spirited, he was never stressful or angry, he was always trying to have a good time.
"Of course. He was definitely struggling with a lot of demons, I spent a few nights in the emergency room with him, he just struggled most of his adult life."
Corey died aged 38 from what is being reported as a suspected overdose.
However, his agent, Mark Heaslip, has told People: "I really don't think it was an overdose.
"He was doing really well. He did struggle with substance abuse, but I've repped him for a year-and-a-half and part of my agreement with him was that he had to be clean. That was the number one priority."
Mark went on to tell People that Corey was suffering from a fever and flu symptoms at the time of his death. He said Corey's mum, Judy, woke up around midnight and saw Corey collapse: "She called for an ambulance immediately. Before he came to the hospital he was pronounced dead."
According to People, the LAPD has attributed his death to a possible overdose, and the coroner has confirmed that four prescription bottles were found at the scene. No illegal drugs were present. However, this is all inconclusive and toxicology tests are still pending.
