Lindsay Lohan is demanding $100 million (approx £66 million) from online share trading company E-Trade over its advert that she says parodies her.
She claims her rights have been violated by the ad's depiction of a boyfriend-stealing "milkaholic" baby named Lindsay.
The advert was first broadcast during America's Super Bowl on 7th February and can now be seen on sites like YouTube.
The advert doesn't use the star's surname, but Li-Lo's reps claim she's one of the celebrities like Madonna and Rihanna for whom a second name is unneccesary.
"Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit," said Lindsay's lawyer Stephanie Ovadia in a statement to the New York Post.
"They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."
The makers of the advert have hit back, saying they "just used a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team."
Lindsay doesn't look too worried about the case as she hits Paris Fashion Week - check out the action from this week's shows...
