It hasn't been the best few days for Elizabeth Hurley.
Not only was the actress and model forced to publicly reveal her split from husband Arun Nayar.
But she's also been subject to media reports hinting at a secret liaison between herself and cricketer Shane Warne.
After a Sunday tabloid published pictures of the pair together at a London hotel, the celebrity rumour mill went into overdrive.
The 45-year-old obviously felt under attack and took to her Twitter page to reveal that she and textile heir husband Arun had actually separated privately months before: "Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this."
Since then, neither Hurley or Warne's camps have said anything. The fact that Elizabeth has separated from her husband, and Shane is divorced from the mother of his three children, makes them free to do as they wish, as friends or otherwise.
The pair were photographed together in July of this year at Goodwood races and have been tweeting each other ever since, with Shane tweeting from his trip to Abu Dhabi: "I screamed so loud when ride took off I'm surprised you din not hear me back in the UK" and Elizabeth replying: "Oooooh, I loved scary rides - remember to scream if you want to go faster!"
