It's one of the hottest tickets at NY Fashion Week.
And this season's Michael Kors show didn't disappoint.
Backstage Kors said this collection was about rugged glamour. The American designer and Project Runway judge said he was thinking of glamorous couples - from Clark Gable and Carole Lombard in the 30s to John F Kennedy Jr and Caroline Bessette in the 90s - while putting together each outfit.

Before the show we perused racks of red and black gingham (a handkerchief skirt was our favourite riff on this style), cosy coats made of merino wool, alpaca and tweed, and dazzling floor-length gowns, all of which were paired with impossibly high heels - lace-up boots, courts or brogues - equipped with inches-thick platforms.

Certain trends are emerging already for autumn/winter as we near the end of New York Fashion Week, and crimson is surely the buzz colour for later this year. Never one to miss a beat, Kors included red knits, checked outerwear and a staple slinky ballgown that would shine on the red carpet (Oscars®, anyone?).
Jessica Alba sat between stylist Brad Goreski and Amber Heard, who was just next to Debra Messing and Angelica Huston. We also spotted George Clooney's gal Stacy Keibler making the rounds in a fitted olive dress, and thought she'd be the perfect fit for one of Kors' shimmering designs.
Other standout pieces included an all-over sequined silver gown and 20s-style drop-waist dresses in midnight blue and champagne.
But the thing about Kors' American sportswear is that it's entirely wearable. It what we love him for - the ability to satisfy his customers with wearable, fashion-forward options. A feat for any major catwalk designer.
