These two are staking a claim on their daughter's name.
Celeb parents Beyonce and Jay-Z don't want any other Blue Ivys in the world.
It seems people are already trying to cash in on the fame of their newborn tot.
In the words of Bey herself, "Say my name, say my name" - just don't try to copy it.
Bey and Jay-Z have filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office to protect Blue's name.
If approved, it will stop people from naming their own children Blue Ivy, prevent businesses from using it, and prevent anyone who tries to patent it before the couple and then demand payment for their use.
The request was filed by Bey's business, BGK Trademark Holdings, and is likely to be approved. Indeed, according to the Washington Post, parents are legally allowed to trademark the names of their children.
We can see the fascination, for sure.
After all, it's unlikely you'll find someone who doesn't know who Blue Ivy is, and she's only a month old. Who needs advertising when you have a brand name that famous?
There have already been some crazy attempts to cash in on Blue with brand names Blue Ivy Carter NYC and Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV having been put forward as patents. However, both attempts have been quashed, as the big cheeses at the Patent Office stated that the name already belonged to a "famous infant".
Too right it does.

These new parents obviously mean business. Beyonce made her first public appearance since the birth of her daughter this week, and was sporting bright blue nail polish and blue jewellery.
Something tells us that they have big plans for baby Blue.
