Ms Lloyd is gobbling her words right up.

She's apologised to Cheryl Cole for comments she made about her singing abilities.

Will the nation's sweetheart be able to forgive and forget?

Cher Lloyd and Judge Cheryl ColeCher Lloyd has come back, tail between her legs

Cher appeared on Daybreak to voice her regret about offending Cheryl this morning.

She said: "Basically I said something on radio that I shouldn't have said and it wasn't intended to sound as bad as it did.

"All I was saying was that I would love to perform with her live and then I made a little joke... I want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive.

Yes, Cher. There is that.

The teen star added: "I'm in the public eye now so word vomit isn't good."

But nothing in showbiz is ever that simple, is it?

Watch this space, folks.
