MC Harvey has denied a physical relationship with Cheryl Cole.

He may not be backing down on the emails that they sent each other.

But the story does seem to have changed since we first broke it.

Cheryl Cole and MC Harvey's relationship rumours continueCheryl Cole and MC Harvey's confusing drama continuesAlthough Harvey's comments until now have been taken to mean he and Cheryl enjoyed a relationship, he's now admitted that their chats never went further than the computer keyboard.

The rapper revealed all during an interview with Choice FM's breakfast show, saying: "I will 100% say that we had a communication relationship, but have I been out with her? No I haven't.

"I did not say I would marry her. I've never been with her, I've never claimed to have a relationship with her, but the communication is not a lie.

"If I'd done that, I'd be lying to myself and lying to my family. If I'm saying was there communication with us, yes - for a good five months."

So, hold on a sec - we're still going to have to see those emails to get the whole picture. Ooh, those celebs mess with our minds.

It looks like MC Harvey's claims about Cheryl Cole are true.

The singer's done her best to deny anything ever went on between the pair.

But it'll be difficult for her to carry on bashing the rumours now that the incriminating emails have surfaced.

Harvey first suggested the two had shared something special in an interview with Now magazine, but Cheryl quickly blasted the story in a series of tweets, which soon erupted into a full-blown Twitter row with the rapper.

However, Now magazine stood by their publication of the so-called facts, and now Harvey has proven his worth by showing the emails between him and Chez to Now's lawyer Tim Parish, who "concluded that the messages were real, had not been doctored in any way and confirm he was in a romantic relationship with the sender".

Not a lot, apparently.

She's taken to Twitter once again to hit back, writing: "I don't know when I became so naïve but even after 10 yrs in this industry i am still shocked that people will tell soul-destroying lies to benefit themselves #sadbuttrue." (sic)

Not one to let the 28-year-old Geordie have the last word, Harvey replied: "I said I had emails, I've shown the emails. I've cleared my name. That's all I wanted to do.#proof."

The saga continues.
