Verdict: As I sit typing this review, I keep stopping to admire my flawless tan. Do I look like I've just returned from two weeks in St Barts? Yes, I do. Do I have the most golden and even tan in the office? Yes, I have. So far, Famous Dave's Tanning Mousse has served me well. As instructed, I applied the tan, left it for 12 hours and washed it off in the morning, with glorious results. My only qualm is that I woke in the morning to find some unsightly brown stains on my once white pillow case - but then again, you can't have it all. Verdict: 5/5.

Verdict: This was my first foray into the world of self tanning. And it hasn't ended happily ever after. The product applied well and has a great smell, but sadly, that's where my self-tan joy ended. I applied it after my evening shower and when I woke up in the morning, I still felt sticky. Furthermore, one leg was a pale yellow and the other a blotchy brown - I had to wear tights to work to cover them up. Still, I think if you were after something to give you a slight colour and you knew your way around self tan, this product would work well. 3/5

Verdict: I love St Tropez's orginal lotion with a passion that isn't healthy so was eager to try the aerated version. The mousse smooths on easily and the beauty of St Tropez is that you really can't go wrong. There's no need to worry about streaking, just make sure there are no gaps then keep the indicator tan on for four hours (or overnight in my case), shower off and voila, an all-over golden tan. This one didn't even turn the bed clothes brown (never a good look) and looks so natural that I haven't have to make any orange apologies today. The only drawback? Lightly tanned palms. Gloves next time please! 4/5

Verdict: As a first-time fake tanner I was apprehensive to say the least. For fear of ending up blotchy and orange-palmed I stuck with my legs (easily covered) and applied only the lightest of layers with the velvety application mit. I was very impressed. I'm sure my application method was far from perfect but the coverage is smooth and even and the colour a natural olive glow. If you've never tried fake tan before I'd highly recommend Xen-Tan. A well-deserved 5/5.
